PostHeaderIcon Local schools raise money to fight Polio

Two local primary school invited Wellington Rotary Club to visit them to tell the pupils about the current campaign to eradicate Polio. As a result, Rotarian Keith Mainwaring visited Wrekin View School, Wellington and Lilleshall School, recently. He explained the importance of eliminating Polio in the last four places where it still exists: India. Afghanistan, Pakistan and parts of Africa. Both schools have decided to raise money to support this worthy cause.

PostHeaderIcon Wellington Rotarian Charter Dinner

On the evening of Wednesday 25th March the Rotary Club of Wellington celebrated a significant anniversary of their existence at an 80th Charter Celebration. This was held at The Buckatree Hall Hotel and 103 Rotarians and their guests enjoyed both the meal and the address by the principal guest, Gordon McInally, who is a Rotary International Director and who was, prior to this role, President of Rotary International Britain and Ireland.
