Come along and take part in 'The Big Draw' at Telford Library on the 30 October between 10am-4pm. The Big Draw is a free event that will include colouring, drawing and other fun activities ideally suited to families with young children. Artists from the Council's Arts Development team and library staff will help residents create a paper maze of doodles, drawings and poems.

Further adventure and inspiration will come from performances by "Potty Poet" Chris White, author and cartoonist of books: Shark in the Toilet, The Armadillo under my Pillow, Wang Foo the Kung Fu Shrew, and Bitey the Veggie Vampire. There will also be a 'Crafty Fingers' session with the family learning team.

Cllr Tracy Hope, Assistant Cabinet Member for Community Services, said: "The Big Draw Campaign invites everyone to join in a host of creative workshops using drawing. I hope people of all ages will come along to this free event, which promises to offer a great deal of fun during the half-term break."

Inspired by Victorian artist and writer John Ruskin, whose aim was not to teach people to draw but to see, The Big Draw encourages people to explore drawing and creating art in new and adventurous ways.

The Big Draw is just one of many FREE activities happening in libraries this half tem celebrating the National Year of Reading. There's no need to book and to find out more visit www.campaignfordrawing.org/bigdraw.
