Shropshire bowler Anthony O’Connor will again captain Wellington in the Birmingham Premier League’s first division  next season.
He was re-elected at the Orleton Park club’s annual meeting and it will be his fourth season in charge after taking over from Gavin Byram.
The club will have a new second team skipper with Steve Moules taking over from Dave Street.  The club’s three other captains – 3rd XI Duncan Taylor, 4th XI Derick Benting and Sunday Glenn Trott – were all re-elected.
Club secretary Peter Byram reported on a successful 2008 campaign for the first XI, who finished sixth after playing all but two of their fixtures without the assistance of a professional.
“Without doubt we would have been up there challenging for promotion and in all probably have finished in the top two if our pro had been available for all matches,” he said.

Match secretary Duncan Taylor, fixtures secretary Brian Youney,  Subscriptions  secretary Michael de Weymarn,  fund-raising chairman Steve Oliver, house chairman Steve Gough, ground chairman Peter Byram, child welfare officer Norman Ross, assistant child welfare officer Mrs Liz Masters,  Management Committee members - Chris Field, Terry O’Connor, Chris Black and Simon Goring.
