People in Lilleshall, Donnington and Muxton and in Dawley and Malinslee have until 29 January to comment on Telford & Wrekin Council’s Draft Proposals that there should be no changes to the present parish council arrangements in their areas.

The Telford & Wrekin Council has been conducting a review of the parish arrangements for these areas.

This followed the receipt of two petitions for the creation of separate parishes with their own parish councils for Lilleshall and Dawley.

Last October, Telford & Wrekin Council’s Licensing Committee published Draft Proposals for no change to the present arrangements. This would see Lilleshall, Donnington and Muxton continue to be part of Lilleshall and Donnington Parish Council, with Dawley and Malinslee continue to come under Great Dawley Parish Council.

This is however subject to a three month consultation period on its Draft Proposals which ends on January 29. If you have views you want to submit, you can do so by emailing reviews@telford.gov.uk or by contacting Electoral Services, Telford & Wrekin Council, Civic Offices, Telford, TF3 4LD.

The Draft Proposals can be found at www.telford.gov.uk and in local libraries and council offices.
