AFC Telford United are holding a fans forum on Thursday evening starting at 8.30pm in the Learning Centre. The forum will be chaired by Bucks vice Chairman, Win Pryce. Manager Rob Smith, Assistant Manager Larry Chambers, Club Captain Stuart Whitehead and defender Gavin Cowan will all be in attendance.

PostHeaderIcon Cup draw sends Telford south

AFC Telford United are awaiting the outcome of tomorrow's FA Cup Second Qualifying Round replay match between Dulwich Hamlet and Hendon.

The Bucks will face the winners on Saturday 11 October with a 3pm kick-off.

Hendon play in the Isthmian Premier Division which is equivalent to the Unibond Premier and Southern Premier. Their ground in Brent Cross has recently been closed and their "home" replay will be at Harrow Borough. If they win the replay the venue for our game would be announced in due course.

PostHeaderIcon Bucks FA Cup triumph

AFC Telford United booked their place in the Third Qualifying Round of the FA Cup for the first time in the clubs short history.

United came from behind to beat Southern League Premier outfit Corby Town 3-2. Prolific striker Terry Fearns' returned to fine form scoring a first-half hat-trick, his second for the Bucks this season.
Fearns cancelled out Corby's opener on 12 minutes, scored his second on 25 minutes and completed his treble with just a minute of the first half remaining.

Wellington Amateurs extended their 100 per cent start to the West Midlands Regional League Division One season with their sixth straight win courtesy of a 3-0 victory at home to Blackheath Town.
Returning midfielder Sean Hennessey opened the scoring with a thumping effort from long-range. The in-form Danny Hickling added a second before new signing Gavin Davies scored on his debut with 15 minutes remaining.

The Amateurs are at home again this Saturday (4 October) when Wednesbury Town visit School Grove for a 3pm kick-off.

AFC Telford United foray into the FA Cup tomorrow as British Gas Southern League side Corby Town visit the New Bucks Head. Telford's recent record in the cup is nothing short of dismal and manager Rob Smith will be wary of the potential banana skin that lies ahead in the form of Corby. The 'Steelmen' have made a great start to their Southern League season and currently lie in second spot.
Telford welcome back defender Asa Charlton to the squad after his mid-week appearance for Hednesford Town.

Wellington Amateurs will defend their 100% start to the West Midlands Regional League Division One campaign when Blackheath Town visit School Grove tomorrow.
Amateurs go into the game on the back of a 6-1 win at Stafford Town and manager Mike Armstrong will have in-form striker Chris Brownlow scorer of four goals at Stafford available along with Bruce Harper and midfielder Sean Hennessey.

PostHeaderIcon Moors tie for Telford

AFC Telford United will play Solihull Moors in the Second Round of the Setanta Shield after the Moors beat Redditch United 1-0 last night.

United will face their near neighbours at the New Bucks Head on Tuesday 7 October with a 7.45pm kick off.

Telford reached the second round after a thrilling 3-2 win (aet) against Gainsborough.

 

PostHeaderIcon Charlton makes Pitman debut

AFC Telford United defender Asa Charlton played 85 minutes of Hednesford Town's 4-0 win home against Matlock Town last night. Charlton linked up with Dean Edwards' side to help regain match fitness. In a bid to make a swift return to the Telford first team Charlton has also played for Stourbridge and Shifnal Town in recent weeks.

He is expected to return to the Telford camp for training on Thursday ready for consideration for United's FA Cup match with Corby Town on Saturday.

PostHeaderIcon Corby Town prices announced

AFC Telford United have announced prices for the FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round tie at the New Bucks Head on Saturday.

Admission prices are £8 adults, £5 Concessions and £1 for under 16’s. The game will be segregated with Corby Town supporters hosted in the Frank Nagington Stand where snack and licensed bar facilities will be available. Parking is available at the New Bucks Head.

Should a replay be required it will take place on Wednesday 1st October 2008.
